On lots of social media there are memes and comments saying “You’ve got this!”. I’ve even used it myself. It’s meant to be supportive, helpful, letting the other person know that they are capable.
The other day I wondered whether that’s a helpful phrase or not. Just because they can do something doesn’t mean that they want to or that they should ( I know I don’t like using the should word).
I was wondering whether by saying you’ve got this we’re actually adding to their stress and burden. I think it depends on what the original poster was asking about.
When it comes to WordPress websites you can relax, because we’ve got this for you. Seriously, you can trust KISS WP Websites to take care of your WordPress website as if it was our own. We adapt and add to our plans as needed to ensure that your website is secure, fast and gives a wonderful customer experience.

There are several aspects to our website care plans. There is the initial website set up, especially since we rarely design websites any more. We perform a website audit because we want to see if any improvements are required before we take on your website.
The WordPress Website care plan set up includes:
- All technical emails are sent to a special email address that we monitor. This takes the stress of any technical emails going to you at all.
- Antivirus software that send us an email if anyone (or thing) is trying to access your website and if anything dodgy has got into your website. People trying to access your website through bots can slow it down
- Malware checks on your website to see that nothing weird is loaded on to your website.
- Backups scheduled on a daily basis with additional daily, weekly or monthly backups set to a cloud with access that you have. The backup schedule depends on the kind of website that you have since some websites may not be changed for weeks whereas others have orders coming through every day. You have access to the backups in the cloud so that you are in complete control.
- Hourly check that your website is up and running and if it’s not we’re sent an email.
- Image optimisation is performed on images loaded to your website automatically. This speeds up the delivery of your website to your visitors by stripping out image information that is not required on a website. Website speed is important now in website rankings.
- Display images that are the correct size for your responsive website. Why? This speeds up the delivery of your website.
- Website cache set up to ensure that your website loads quickly so that your website visitors don’t get bored and wander off.
- WordPress help manual and videos are available in the back end of your website if you want to refresh your memory of how to do some content changes in your website

Once the initial website set up has been done then carry out daily, weekly and monthly checks depending on your website and the level of service you choose.
