The Stress Less WordPress Webcare with consulting Plan is suitable for a complex website usually has an online shop or membership portal AND consulting and strategy is required to translate the business strategy to the website.
WordPress website care plans, also called website maintenance plans, take any stress of running a business WordPress website away from you so that you can focus on your business.
Please note that if you want a large amount of work done that will NOT be covered by the support time and will be treated as a separate project.
There are monthly plans where there is no long term contract so you can cancel at any time with 30 days notice, or you can go for the yearly plans which has 12 months for the price of 11 (one month complimentary).

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes and no. So that’s clear then 🙂
If we (or Mount Gambier Website Design) either created your website, or we’ve worked on it recently, then we know your website and we’re happy to look after it.
If we have not worked on your website before we will investigate your website. Some websites are simple, conform to standard WordPress and have some set up guide with them. Other websites do not conform to WordPress standards, are complicated, and may not have been updated for years (for whatever reason). The maximum set up charge will be up to 4 hours work.
Feel free to contact us to discuss or book a one to one consultation for your website.
Yes you really can. This business was set up so that business owners can take responsibility for their own websites and don’t have to come back to us (unless they wanted to of course). Most small businesses do not have the time, or staff to look after their own website, so we’ve set up these web care plans to help businesses in that situation.
If you’re happy to do all the updates, security checks, and monitoring yourself then of course not. If you don’t know how but would like to learn we can teach you.
We realise that some clients need a bit more help to achieve their goals. The monthly coaching / consulting work is to work on those goals to get you where you want to be. This can also be used for regular training.
We’re happy to take on websites that require a support service that we have not created. However we will need to do a full website evaluation first so that we can become familiar with your website, how it was built and any issues that may arise. We’ll make a list of suggestions for your website as well. The website evaluation will be charged at a fixed 4 hour fee.
Plugins are like apps on your phone. They extend the functionality of your website. They are small programs written by someone else that we can buy and use to improve your website. Some of these plugins would be around US$80 per year for you to buy and they are free to you during your subscription period.
We’ve no idea why you’d do that ? Seriously what will happen is that any premium plugins that we’ve paid for will be replaced with free ones. The functionality will stay the same as far as your customers are concerned, they’ll just be a few differences at the back end that you’ll see. If we’ve been adding content to your website, creating some social media or looking after your social media platforms that will stop too.
Everything that we’d usually do as part of the subscription will be passed back to you. You’ll take back full responsibility for your website so you’ll receive all the technical emails too.
If you have an amendment or addition that needs more than your dedicated time then we’ll submit a quote for your approval. We’ll look at it on a case by case basis. Before doing any additional work we’ll contact you to get your approval.
We’re not going to say that we can prevent everything going wrong (since hackers get more and more inventive) but we do set up your website to prevent as much as possible from going wrong. Your website will be monitored (you’ll receive the report) and if anything goes wrong we’re there to hold your hand and make phones calls for you. We’ll contact your hosting on your behalf and we can restore your website from a regular offsite backup. We’ll be there to help. If you’re on the Platinum plan then malware removal is included in the plan
We can include anything that fits into your allocated time such as design tweaks, minor techy updates, adding content, coaching, training, strategy etc.. It’s your choice to suit your business.
Any new features will need a new quote (unless they are very minor).
No this time does not rollover to another month – if you don’t use it, you lose it.
Uptime monitoring is checking that your website can actually be seen by your customers. We run regular checks (when we say regular we mean like every hour or less).
Why wouldn’t your website be available?
A problem with the hosting company or a missed payment to your hosting (this can easily happen with non for profit organisations if a volunteer leaves and emails don’t get passed on) are the most common reasons.
As soon as we know that there’s an issue with your website we can check your website, your hosting and find out what the issue is and then let you know what’s going on, how and when it’ll be solved. It takes the stress and pressure away from you if you’re not used to dealing with technical website issues.
When we first started out we used to use free plugins. However when you think about it how do they make money if they’re free? Usually it’s through adverts or limited use so that you still need to pay to do everything that you want. Sometimes the plugin owners simply stop developing the plugins so that after time they no longer work but you don’t know about it (until someone contacts you saying something isn’t working).
How long would your business survive if you weren’t charging? We’re guessing not very long. It’s not a sustainable business model.
For all the reasons above we choose to either use premium plugins or free ones that we know will be supported in future.
