What is a WordPress Health and Safety session?

It's not enough that you regularly update your WordPress website. You also have to run regular health and safety checks.

WordPress Health and Safety is a 30 minute session zoom session, just the two of us and your WordPress website.

Beforehand you've already let me know if you have any concerns. For example you may not know if your website has a backup plugin or if you have one whether it's been set up or not.

Together, we check your WordPress website for the top items that are often missing from WordPress websites as well as some basic checks.

Why book a session?

There are soooo many reasons and these include:

  • You worry that your website isn't set up correctly
  • You hear about websites being hacked
  • You created your website on your own and you're worried it could be missing something
  • Even though you had your website designed for you, it was a while ago and things may have changed

What will you get from this session?

You'll receive (at a minimum):

  • a backup plugin added and set up (if you don't already have one)
  • usernames checked
  • site health checked
  • plugins / themes removed if they aren't being used

Before we meet up:

  • ensure you're in a place where you can use Zoom
  • please have handy your WordPress administrator username and password to log into your website
  • your username and password for your hosting (we may not need this depending on your tweak or fix)

I don't want to assume that either of us will be able to go over the 30 minutes, so you can book another session if required or we'll come up with a plan.   

We can check your website without your hosting details. However, if we discover that something needs to be changed on your hosting we won't be able to make that change. I can explain to you what needs to be changed and you can ask your hosting to make the change or I can do this work for you at another time. It's your choice.
